When a plane from London arrived at Sydney airport, workers began to unload a number of wooden boxes which contained clothing. 当一架来自伦敦的飞机抵达悉尼机场时，工人们开始卸下几个装着衣服的木箱。

No one could account for the fact that one of the boxes was extremely heavy. 其中一个箱子出奇地重，无人知道缘由。

It suddenly occurred to one of the workers to open up the box. 一名工人突然想到打开箱子看看。

He was astonished at what he found. 他被看到的情景惊呆了。

A man was lying in the box on top of a pile of woolen goods. 一个男子躺在箱子里，身下是一堆羊毛制品。

He was so surprised at being discovered that he did not even try to run away. 他因被发现而吃惊得连逃跑都忘了。

After he was arrested, the man admitted hiding in the box before the plane left London. 被捕后，他承认在飞机离开伦敦前就藏进了箱子。

He had had a long and uncomfortable trip, for he had been confined to the wooden box for over eighteen hours. 他度过了一段漫长而不舒服的旅程，由于他在木箱里被关了十八个多小时。

The man was ordered to pay £3,500 for the cost of the trip. 法院命令他支付3500英镑作为旅费。
